There seems to be a renewed interest in developing knowledge strategies. We have been involved in three in the last six months and our narrative techniques have been well received. We now need to move people from seeing a knowledge strategy as a thing to a seeing it as a process. We also need to see a shift from developing knowledge strategies to engaging people in knowledge-focussed business strategies.

I have found using local or similar case studies to point out successful KM strategy works much better then presenting a whole lot of jargon and theory which only frustrates and confuses the audience. Also I have stopped using Powerpoint and talking at the same time as it sends people to sleep trying to focus on too many things at once. Its either me speaking or playing a multimedia presentation which engages the senses.
Gregory Segal Consulting is trying to develop a branding which uses the KISS principle without losing the importance of the message being presented.
